Magister Jim Motes has been teaching Latin (and Theatre Arts) since 2001, with a brief hiaitus to explore the "Dark Side" of Administration. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Classical Association of Connecticut, as an officer for the Connecticut Drama Association, and as the Drama Coordinator for Connecticut State Latin Day.
Motes is passionate about Classical studies, particularly in the areas of mythology, drama, and the military. As an actor and director, Motes enjoys improv comedy, classical texts, and empowering student actors and technicians taking active roles in creating a production. |

Latin IV/VThe culminating class of Latin at Lyme-Old Lyme, students use their knowledge from past years to deeply analyze and recreate work akin to that of ancient authors. In 2015-2016, we are studying Ovid's Metamorphoses.
